Our annual presentation night allows our members to come together and recognise the year that was. At the conclusion of 2024 we gathered to celebrate, dine and dance the night away!
For our members and families, 2024 brought about a different type of celebration as we announced the retirement of beloved Elizabeth Scott from our teaching faculty.
Elizabeth joined Mount Ousley Physie 56 years ago and has dedicated 42 of those years to teaching our beautiful juniors, seniors and ladies, yes - over the years she has taught all ages!

A message from Elizabeth…
“It has been emotional putting this together, presentation night was a humbling experience. I’m so sad to be retiring from the Head Teacher role and the responsibility it brings. We have been blessed with great memories and results over the years, and it’s nice to finish on a high. I vividly recall having five teams of 5-7 year old girls, doing all their hair and running back and forth putting them on the floor with no support teachers in those days.
My first National winner and video girl now competes as a MtO lady.

Many video girls have followed, too many to mention and I am so proud of everyone. A lot of us go back a long way, the years of passion and competitive drive must come to an end. It’s time for the next generation of teachers to take the reins.
I’ve had many exciting moments and made lasting friendships with beautiful people and feel very fortunate. Thank you to an amazing supportive management team, who go above and beyond to support each other and have been so caring, supportive and positive about my decision.
Lastly, for those mums that I have taught …. when I looked into your daughters’ faces, I was taken back in time, a time that I will treasure forever”.

To Elizabeth, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done for Mount Ousley Physie. You have shaped our club into one of the greats and your legacy will continue with the wonderful teachers you have mentored over the years. Your club spirit remains each time they bang their shoe on the floor to the beat of the music.
Mount Ousley Physie is excited to be dancing into a new chapter.
